Building a spherical motor for prosthetics prototypes. Hoping that there’s a way that won’t waste soooo much power, for so many poles. Yup… Thinking it will be ready in Feb-ish.

the shady snake
rachel bush | September 15th, 2008 | No CommentsI would like to create- (or see someone else create)a type of shaded hat type head covering umbrella type thing attached to a snake light bend able post (but not necessarily with the light-although it would be good for readers) with a strong clip at the end for attaching to lawn chairs while sunbathing-there could also be a little mini fan in the center of the head shade to provide added comfort for those extra hot days-you could even go as far as putting a ‘misty-mate mister’ for even more comfort….?
PVC Submarine
Rex Davenport | September 15th, 2008 | 5 CommentsI\’m working on a PVC submarine (3 in. diameter) and was wondering if someone could help me to figure out how to build a relatively inexpensive watertight compartment to house the guts. Keep in mind I\’m going to have to have the motors in it too so I\’m wondering how to run the drive shafts from the motors to the props.
Wireless desktop monitor
Martijn | September 15th, 2008 | 1 CommentThe concept can be described as a portable flatscreen with a docking station. In the dock, the flatscreen is used like a normal desktop screen. When undocking the screen, the screen becomes a portable touchscreen running on a battery.

Light switch for a table Lamp.
Vladislav | September 15th, 2008 | No CommentsI have a table lamp, but it’s power switch has broken.
Also, I has been needed to go and insert it’s two-pin plug into the socket, that’s installed under my table with PC on it.
But i’m using DOS, so, I’ve got an idea.
1st, the schematic
http://reset-me.narod.ru/media/lpts3.gif - for lamp
Tigersome.narod.ru/lpt03000.jpg - for anything.
2nd - the program for DOS.(Windows coming soon!)
For example, in pascal:
Uses Dos,CRT;
Var
data:byte; {variable DATA with type byte}
Begin
Readln(data); {Reading Pin Number}
Port[MemW[$0040:$0008]:=data; {Send to port}
End.
1 Pin - 1
2 pin - 2
3 pin - 4
4 pin - 8
5 pin - 16
6 pin - 32
7 pin - 64
8 pin - 128
0 - Turn off all 255 - Turn on all
For ex, i need to turn on pins 2 & 8.Then, data will be 130.
Simple math!
Thnx for reading.
