I want to do that, but I can’t. I want a security wave between transmission media and the receiver.

Time travel machine from Geo Metro

Alexander Hartdegen | October 2nd, 2008 | 6 Comments

I plan to build a time machine from my broked down geo metro, and parts from radioshack. I will use a 555 circit to control the time shift, and also my mystical quartz crystal ball I just got off ebay for $75 since you need a crystal for time travel.  I’ll have to fix the engine first to because you have to be going 80 mph before you can travel in time as well. I’ll let you know how it goes.

electronic 6vdc timer

christian tickell | September 15th, 2008 | 2 Comments

what can i buy off the shelf from R.S.
to build an electronic timer

i want to activate a timer with a simple push swith, intially this timer runs to twelve minutes and when it counts down to the two minute mark I need an audio beeper to come on for ten seconds, then at the last two seconds prior to shutting down, I need a six volt output to run a relay. also in the timing sequence when it comes to the two minute mark and the audio beeper comes on and if you activate the switch, you get the timer this time to go to six minutes, and when the timer gets down to the two minute mark again it gives an audio beeper for ten seconds. are there components to build this
at radio shack? thanks Chris

lets go wireless

George | September 15th, 2008 | 2 Comments

since i opened my old phone i have a tiny microphone and a tiny speaker
my idea is to make a receiver and a transmitter with these two so that i have a tiny hide-able intercom ;) it would be really cool kinda hard though

another idea with the same components is to create
just a simple transmitter (with the microphone) which will be emmitting in frequencies which i will be able to listen to through a simple radio

Spherical Motor

Kurt Apple | September 15th, 2008 | No Comments

Building a spherical motor for prosthetics prototypes. Hoping that there’s a way that won’t waste soooo much power, for so many poles. Yup… Thinking it will be ready in Feb-ish.
