rc golden snitch
niklas | April 11th, 2008ive always wondered why no one has made a remotely controlled golden snitch. and with harry potter and ornithopters becoming more popular it would be a huge sell. basically it would just be an I-fly Vamp compressed into a small ball painted gold.
i am currently working on building it and hope it will work

Well the only problem is the I-fly vamp uses it tail for ballance. If someone were to basicly just put wings on a ball it would just tumble out of the sky. The only similar thing that could work would be a helicopter like ball, but then it would not move correctly. Hope you find a way to make it work.
Cool idea. I’d imagine that the hardest part would be stabilizing it. Usually this is done with a tail-prop or tail fins. With a ball, it suppose you can center all of the weight to the bottom, but creating enough weight to enable stable flight may make it too heavy to fly. Good luck, though. Post pictures and/or videos when you’re done. If it worked well, I’d buy one.
this would be awesome to see. i just finished all the harry potter books
