Stationary Cell Phone Antenna
Bruce Franco | September 8th, 2008We have lake house in Maine where I can get just enough Verizon celluar signal to receive text messages, but not enough to receive email or make a phone call. Does anyone know how I might be able to receive, amplify (or concentrate), and transmit (or direct feed into my cell) a stronger signal? …or possibly know of a commercial antenna system that might do the job?
Thanks,

you could try Cellular Phone Bi-Directional Amplifiers / Repeaters at this web site.

I am not related or associated with this web site.

There are different boosters available online through http://www.radioshack.com.
Under search write “cell phone booster” (Without the parenthesis) and you will find various units that will do the job. I know they work because we have sold numerous units to customers that have applauded us for how successful they were in increasing coverage and signal loss in low to non-existant areas.
Check it out and contact any Radio Shack if you need any additional help or answers.

Thanks James and Harold….I’ll check out your recommendations and I really appreciate your response….but, do either of you know if the equipment you’re recommending will improve the reception on my Verizon cellular laptop datacard as well?
