Here’s a pretty simple way to make the camera on your iPhone into a decent one. Create a macro-lens for your iPhone by taping a broken digital camera lens to the camera and attaching it with a paper clip. Pretty nice.

That is totally amazing and I am in heaven just thinking of it. I am doing that to my Iphone right now.

It actually is really cool, and making something this look more professional would be easily done with a hardshell iPhone case and some epoxy. There’s a company somewhere out on the internet that actually makes hardshell cases for phones that attach to their own zoom lenses, though I can’t remember the name of the company. I’ve used one of the cases and a magnifying lens out of an LED flashlight to make a macro lens for the Nokia N80.

I wish I could edit my post… missed a few grammer errors, but seriously, this is a great little mod and I hope everyone gets into cell phone photography even more.

wow…never thought of it. my Sync has a 2.0 MP camera and it sounds like a great idea. even better yet though, my Treo has no zoom worth speaking of so i may try on it…

let us know how it works man!
